The team your project depends on.
Cura Group is an independent owner’s representative firm built around one principle: a project well managed is one held to its intent. For six years, we’ve applied that standard across South Florida, including some of the region’s most recognized luxury residential properties.
Independent. Accountable. Built for this market.
Most capital projects in South Florida don’t fail because of bad contractors or poor design. They fail because no one at the table is holding the work to the owner’s intent across every phase, every decision, every dollar.
That’s the role Cura is built for. We advise condo boards, developers, and property managers through capital programs that are often the largest single undertaking in their portfolio. The work demands a team that understands construction, knows this market, and stays with the project from first assessment through final close.
Conscious craftsmanship and care. Applied to every engagement.
We call our approach conscious craftsmanship and care. It means the project is managed not just to spec, but to intent. Not just on paper, but in practice. From the first constructability assessment through final financial close, every phase is handled with the same methodical attention.
Cura Certified is how we operationalize that standard — consistently applied, with a defined standard of care at every phase. It’s not adapted for each project. It’s the way we work.
- Cura Certified
A methodology applied to every engagement — covering constructability assessment, budget development, contractor selection, construction oversight, quality control, and project close. Each phase held to a defined standard of care.
- Qualified Team. Every Project.
24 years of collective team experience, applied to your project. You work directly with our most experienced people, every phase, every decision.
The people managing your project.
Cura is a small firm by design. The people you meet at the beginning of a project are the people managing it through delivery.
Francisco Fermin
Founder
Francisco brings 26 years of construction experience to Cura Group, with a track record across
commercial retail, medical office buildings, aviation, and high-rise luxury residential projects. He founded the firm on a simple standard: a project managed to its intent, not just its spec. That standard is what he holds every engagement to today.
Verkis Robinson
Controller
Verkis brings 30 years of experience to Cura’s corporate operations, with a background as a paralegal and a degree in early childhood education. That combination gives her a disciplined, detail-first approach to the firm’s financial and administrative work. She keeps Cura’s operations running so the project teams can stay focused on the work in front of them.
Michael Cobo
Sr. Project Manager: Commercial & Hospitality
Michael brings 34 years of construction experience to Cura. His work is concentrated in commercial office, retail, and hospitality projects, backed by a Florida General Contractor license and Procore certification across the owner, contractor, and project manager levels. He brings that depth of hands-on experience to every engagement he leads.
Ashley Kauffman
Project Manager: Associations
Ashley brings 5 years of project management experience to Cura, with a focus on high-rise luxury residential and commercial office work. She holds PMP and CPR certifications and is a third-year architecture student at FIU. That combination of project management and design training shapes how she approaches every project she manages.
Joel Peguero
Project Manager: Residential
Joel brings 20 years of construction experience to Cura, with strength across luxury residential, retail, medical office, hotel, and hospital projects. He holds a General Contractor license and OSHA 30 certification, along with an Associate of Science in Building Construction from Miami Dade College. He’s currently working toward his bachelor’s degree, continuing to build on that foundation.
Richy Mendoza
Project Engineer: Commercial
Richy brings 9 years of construction experience to Cura, with particular strength in residential, retail, and civil transportation work. He holds OSHA 30 and Sika Concrete Repair certifications and is PMP-certified, with his PMI-CP credential in progress. His Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering carries a specialization in structural inspection, from steel and concrete to failure and catastrophic-event analysis.
Small enough to stay accountable. Experienced enough to not need hand-holding.
The national firms will send you a team. They’ll rotate staff every six months. By the time your project is in the complicated middle phase, the people who understood the original intent aren’t there anymore.
Cura is built differently. We take on fewer projects so the team managing yours is the same team from start to finish. That’s not a selling point. It’s the operating model.

What it looks like when the project goes right.
Cura’s standard isn’t to meet expectations. It’s to make sure the right expectations were set in the first place.
"The hot water boiler storage tank project was planned and executed flawlessly. Under-promised and over-delivered. There was virtually no impact on residents during the weeks of installation."
Clear communication and excellent quality. The project was delivered on time and exactly as promised.
Marvin McKinney
Professional team with great attention to detail. They provided smart solutions without increasing the budget.
